Next, we’ll head to Meknes, also known as the Ismaili capital. As one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, you will explore its famous landmarks. Starting with the fascinating Bab El Mansour, a huge gate built by Sultan Moulay Ismail. As well as the Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, we’ll make our way to Fes for relaxing overnight stay at a typical Riad.

On the 5th day of your 10 days tour in Morocco , we’ll drive through the heart of the Atlas Mountains to reach Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco, famous for its Alpine architecture and winter snow. From there, head to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where we’ll pause to see the Barbary macaques and capture joyful photographs amidst the area’s natural splendor.
From there, we’ll continue to Midelt for a satisfying midday meal. We’ll then drive along the lush Ziz Valley, guiding us toward Merzouga via Erfoud. By the afternoon, we reach Merzouga Desert, and there, your camels stand ready to take on a true nomadic experience. Mount your camel and traverse the golden dunes of Merzouga. As sunset approaches, a pause will be made for you to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in your life.
After enjoying the sunset, continue to your desert camp, relax in your tent, and prepare for a delicious evening meal. Finally, the day ends with a party night by the fire, listening to the melodies of Berber drums performed by nomads.
A wake-up early is highly recommended to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, it’s time to dive into the region’s rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. We’ll start our desert adventure by visiting Khamlia village. Its inhabitants, originating from south Africa, practice the Gnawa folklore. Prepare to be amazed by the Gnawa music and traditional dances that offer a glimpse into the cultural richness of the region.
Next, we’ll hit the road to visit Mifis mines. This place has a rich history, having been once home to miners extracting kohl, an ancient eye cosmetic that is commonly used as eyeliner. Our journey continues with a visit to a nomadic Berber family to explore their way of life. Imagine sipping tea under their handmade tent listening to stories about nomad life. A wake up up early is recommended to catch the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, then enjoy breakfast, and head back to Merzouga where your driver awaits. We’ll then leave the Sahara Desert to explore Rissani, a historic market town with a lively souk three days a week.
Afterwards, we’ll drive on the road of a thousand kasbahs passing through many Berber villages en route to the Todra Gorges, sculpted by the Todra River. Here, you can marvel at the grand red cliffs, a paradise for rock climbing enthusiasts. Take a scenic walk by the river and enjoy the surroundings. Our voyage then takes us to the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its verdant valleys and extraordinary rock formations. We’ll briefly visit the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations sculpted by the wind before we continue to your evening accommodation.
This morning, we’ll drive to visit Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for its annual Rose Festival held every May. The locals offer an array of products produced from the rose, such as rose water, oil, soap, and perfume, among others. Afterward, we’ll hit the road of a thousand Kasbah, passing through the vast palm groves of Skoura. At its heart lies the historic Kasbah Amridil, a symbol of Berber architecture and heritage.
Thereafter, we hit the road again, passing through the cinematic Ouarzazate until we reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A UNESCO World Heritage Site that has hosted many movies, like Game of Thrones and Gladiator. After that, we’ll drive to Marrakech, crossing the high Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass (2260 m). In the evening we’ll arrive in Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation.
