    Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech 

    Welcome to Morocco! The 14 days grand Morocco tour itinerary starts with a pick up at Marrakech Menara Airport. Your guide from My Moroccan Tours will be there to pick you up you to your accomodation. Then, you will have free time to explore some of the captivating attractions that Marrakech has to offer on your own.

    Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour

    Today, after breakfast, you’ll be exploring Marrakech, or amur n akush, which means Land of God in Berber. Your expert local guide will show you the must-see historical and cultural landmarks of the city. The visit includes: the famous Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century, as well as the Saadian tombs, the Bahía Palace, and the renowned Ben Youssef Quranic Madrasa.

    As you stroll through the souks of Medina, you can look for the perfect souvenirs to take home and admire the craftsmanship and variety of the goods on display. In the evening, enjoy free time to stroll independently around Djemaa el-Fna Square, a dynamic center brimming with street theater, storytellers, snake charmers, and magicians. Finally, turn back to your riad.

    Day 3: Marrakech» Essaouira

    Today, we’ll travel along the coastline to the magical city of Tangier. This charming city known as the “Bride of the North”. Where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. It has a rich history, and  has been ruled by various civilizations over the centuries. As a result, it has a unique blend of cultures, traditions, and architecture.

    We’ll visit the most famous tourist attractions, such as the Caves of Hercules, a natural wonder on the outskirts of the city. And also Cap Spartel, with its pretty lighthouse overlooking the ocean. After that, we’ll traverse the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen.

    Day 4: Essaouira» Casablanca

    Today, after a delicious breakfast. Take your last stroll, wandering through the narrow streets of the UNESCO-listed old Medina. Known for its whitewashed buildings, blue doors, and amazing art scene. You can browse through local shops selling handicrafts, jewelry, and textiles. After that, we’ll leave Essaouira and make our way to Casablanca along the scenic coastline. Offering picturesque views along the way. Once we reach Casablanca, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

    Day 5: Casablanca» Rabat Capital» Asilah

    Following breakfast, we’ll visit the incredible Hassan II Mosque, which stands proudly on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean and then drive  towards Rabat Capital. Rabat city is unique as it is the only imperial city along the coast of Morocco, offering a rich tapestry of historical and cultural experiences.

    Here we’ll explore the grand Hassan Tower and the adjacent mausoleum of Mohamed V, both of which represent the Moroccan architectural style. Following this, we’ll ascend to the Kasbah of Udayas to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Bouregreg River.

    After lunch, we’ll hit the road again for Asilah, a charming coastal town known for its charming beauty. From stunning beaches to whitewashed architecture and a lively art scene. Finally, check into your hotel for a restful  overnight stay.

    Day 6: Asilah» Tangier» Chefchaouen

    On the 6th day of your 14 day grand Morocco tour we’ll travel along the coastline to the magical city of Tangier. This charming city known as the “Bride of the North”.     Day 7: Free Day Chefchaouen Sightseeing

    After breakfast, a full day of wonder in Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue Pearl, located in the north part of Morocco. It’s a place where the hue of azure dominates, coloring everything from the buildings, streets, doors, and windows.

    Visit the town heart, the central square known as Outa Hammam, and the historic 15th century Kasbah. Remember to also pay a visit to Ras El Ma and other sites. Stroll through the blue alleys, alive with leather shops, textiles, and colorful Berber rugs. Keep your camera at hand to capture the blue scenes at every turn and street.

    As the sun starts to set, hike to the Spanish Mosque, situated on a hill, and feast your eyes on the breathtaking views of the entire Medina. After enjoying the vistas, return to your accommodation.

    Day 8: Chefchaouen» Volubilis Ruins» Meknes» Fes

    This morning, after breakfast, we’ll head towards the imperial city of Meknes. Enjoy the Moroccan countryside with its natural splendor as we drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis. Take a small tour around the remnants of the ancient Roman ruins, dating back to the 3rd century BC.

    Once we’re done exploring Volubilis, we’ll continue on to Meknes, also known as the Versailles of Morocco. Firstly, we’ll visit the magnificent Bab Mansour Gate, built by Moulay Ismail. Then, the grandeur of the Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the tomb of Moulay Ismail. After that, we’ll make our way to Fes, the oldest city in Morocco.

    Day 9: Fes Sightseeing Guided Tour

    After breakfast, we dedicate the 9th day of your 14 day grand Morocco tour to discover the enchanting city of Fes in a guided tour. An expert local guide will lead you through the labyrinthine streets of the Medina full of spices, textiles, and ornate Berber rugs.

    The guided tour includes the city’s top attractions, including the famous seven doors of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter, and Al Attarine Madrassa. In addition you’ll visit the Chouara Tannery, the oldest leather tannery in the world that has been operating since the 9th century.

    Also the Al Quaraouiyine University, which is the oldest university in the world. In the afternoon, we’ll ascend to Borj Sud for panoramic views of the Medina of Fes. Take a moment to enjoy the stunning vistas before we take you back to your riad.

    Day 10:  Fes» Ifrane» Azrou» Midelt» Merzouga Desert

    In the morning, we’ll set off towards the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, a city known as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ for its architecture and cool climate. After that, we continue to the cedar forest of Azrou, home to the Barbary macaques. Here, we’ll make a short stop to capture some fun photos with these friendly creatures.

    After enjoying free time for lunch in Midelt, we’ll then drive along the Ziz valley, enjoying stunning panoramic views of the palm trees. From there, we pass through the fossil-rich town of Erfoud to the Sahara Desert. As soon as we arrive at Merzouga, a sea of sand dunes stretches as far as the eye can see. You’ll switch to camels and embark on a nomadic experience you’ll never forget. Along the way, a break is planned to climb a high dune and witness the magical sunset.

    As you reach your desert camp, you’ll be welcomed by a cup of mint tea for hospitality, then relax in your tent. After a delicious dinner, the desert comes alive with the heartbeat rhythms of Berber drums and dancing around the campfire, all under the broad canvas of the starry desert sky.

    Day 11: Merzouga Excursion» Khamlia» Desert Mines» Visit Nomad Family

    Start your day with a stunning sunrise at the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, it’s your choice: a cool camel ride or a thrilling 4×4 drive back to Merzouga. Our 14 days Morocco tour take us today on a trip around the Sahara Desert,  Khamlia will be the first stop known for its Gnawa music and friendly people from South African countries. Join in and dance with the Gnawa musicians, and enjoy their lovely songs.

    Then, we’re off on an off-road journey to the M’Fis mines. You’ll see old mines there, including a mineral stone that people used as eyeliner a long time ago. Next, we’ll have a special visit with a nomadic Berber family in their handmade woven tent. Share a cup of tea and listen to their amazing stories about nomad life.

    After a tasty lunch in Khamlia, we’ll head back to your hotel so you can relax. In the late afternoon, you can go quad biking or drive a buggy if you feel adventurous. Or just take a leisurely stroll to the nearby dunes.

    Day 12: Merzouga Desert» Rissani» Erfoud» Todra Gorges» Dades Valley

    Today, following breakfast, we set our sights on Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Firstly, we’ll discover its traditional souk, with an array of aromatic spices, textiles, and traditional crafts offering a vibrant glimpse into the local life.

    Afterwards, we’ll drive on the Road of 1000 Kasbah towards Todra Gorges. Towering limestone-red cliffs, reaching up to 300 meters high. After that, we drive to Dades Valley, known for its verdant valleys and red rock formations. Along the way, we’ll stop to behold the stunning rock formations of the “Monkey fingers” Finally, we’ll continue to your accommodation for a relaxing overnight stay.

    Day 13: Dades Valley» Rose Valley» Ouarzazate» Ait Ben Haddou» Marrakech

    Following the morning meal, we’ll head to Kalaat M’gouna, home to the Rose Festival held every May. Here, locals offer an array of rose products like rose water, oils, soaps, and perfumes. After that, the journey continues through Skoura palm groves, leading us to the historical fort of Kasbah Amridil. Next on our itinerary is Ouarzazate, also known as Hollywood of Morocco,” home to Atlas Studios, one of the largest film production studios in the world.

    After that, we’ll drive toward the famous village of Ait Ben Haddou. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the cinematic legacy of films like Game of Thrones and Gladiator. As you walk around, imagine yourself as part of a Hollywood movie, walking in the same streets as knights and kings. Following lunch, we’ll proceed to Marrakech via the scenic Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260 m), offering stunning vistas along the way. The day concludes with our arrival in Marrakech.

    Day 14: Transfer To Marrakech Airport

    We had an amazing 14 day grand tour of Morocco with My Moroccan Tours. We traveled from Marrakech, Essaouira, Rabat, with two amazing days in Chefchaouen, Fes and the Sahara desert then through the Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, seeing every fabulous sights. We stayed in excellent Riads and hotels most with pools and great views. Our tour guide was kind, friendly, funny, and an excellent driver. We would do this all over again anyway! Highly recommend this tour company to anyone.
