    Day 1: Arrival in Fes

    Welcome to Morocco! Your 7 day Morocco tour itinerary starts when you arrive at Fes Saïs Airport in the city. Your driver guide from My Moroccan Tours will be there waiting to greet you and take you to your accommodation.

    Day 2: Fes Guided Sightseeing Tour

    Your Fes sightseeing tour starts with a local guide giving you a real taste of daily life. Wander through the vibrant streets lined with an array of handmade treasures. From textiles, ceramics, and spices to the colorful Berber rugs. Everywhere you look, there’s something to catch your eyes.

    The guided tour then takes you to explore the historical and cultural sites of Fes. Starting with the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace, each is bigger than the last. You’ll also visit the Chouara Tannery, the oldest tannery in the world, dating back to the 11th century.

    Also visit the decorated Al Attarine Madrasa and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). Moreover, the University of Al Quaraouiyine is one of the oldest in the world, dating back to the 9th century. In the afternoon, we’ll escort you to Borj Sud to take in the stunning vistas of the whole Medina. 

    Day 3: Fes» Ifrane» Azrou» Midelt» Merzouga Desert

    After breakfast, we’ll traverse the middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane. A beautiful town known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its Swiss architecture and cool climate. Especially magical when covered in snow during winter. Continuing our desert adventure, we’ll head to the Cedar Forest of Azrou. We’ll take a short break to see the Barbary macaques and take some fun photos with them while enjoying the area’s nature. After that, we hit the road again to Midelt, where we stop for a satisfying lunch.

    After lunch, we’ll drive along the verdant Ziz valley, making our way to Merzouga via Erfoud.In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga desert, where your camels awaits to take you on a nomadic experience. Mount your camel and ride across the golden dunes, enjoying the desert scenery. As the sun begins to set, a stop will be made to climb a high dune and witness one of magical sunset you’ll ever see.

    Upon arriving at your desert camp, you’ll be greeted with a cup of tea as gesture for hospitality. Take some time to relax and get ready for dinner. The day ends with a party around the fire, listening to Berber music played by nomads, under a sky full of stars.

    Day 4: Merzouga Excursion» Khamlia» Desert Mines» Visit Nomad Family

    On the 4th day of your 7 days Morocco Desert tour, it’s better to wake up early in the morning to witness the breathtaking sunrise at Erg Chebbi sandy dunes. After breakfast, decide between a camel trek or a 4×4 excursion back to Merzouga. The desert excursion begins with a visit to Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music and warm-hearted people. Its inhabitants originate from southern African countries. Immerse yourself in the culture, dance alongside the Gnawa artists, and enjoy their enchanting melodies.

    Next, we hit the road again to the M’Fis mines, with a brief stop in Galb Elnas for panoramic views of Erg Chebbi. Discover historical mines, including a mineral once used as an eyeliner (kohl). Following that, engage in a unique encounter with a nomadic Berber family within their handcrafted tent. Share a warm cup of tea and listen to their fascinating tales of nomadic existence.

    Savor a tasty midday meal in Khamlia, then we’ll take you to your lodging to complete the day. By late afternoon, you can opt for an adrenaline-fueled quad bike or buggy drive, or enjoy a stroll to the adjacent sand dunes.

    Day 5: Merzouga Desert» Rissani» Erfoud» Todra Gorges» Dades Valley

    After a delicious breakfast, we’ll leave the Sahara desert. Firstly, our stop is the town of Rissani, which was the ancient capital of the Tafilalet region. A commercial center that comes alive every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Here, a traditional market full of spices, handcrafts, and the sound of vendors calls out to passersby, inviting them to taste their wares. 

    Afterwards, we’ll drive to the Todra Gorges, passing through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad along the way. These towering red cliffs carved by the Todra River providing an ideal place for climbers. Next, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its red rock formations and green valleys. We’ll make a short stop to see the famous Monkey Fingers. Finally, we’ll continue to your hotel for a comfortable stay.

    Day 6:  Dades Valley» Rose Valley» Ouarzazate» Ait Ben Haddou» Marrakech

    Today’s voyage is packed with history and adventure. After breakfast we’ll drive to Kalaat M’gouna (Valley of Roses). This charming city is known for its fragrant Rose Valley and the Rose Festival that held every May. We might have the opportunity to stop at a local cooperative to discover rose-infused products. From there, we’ll head to the Skoura, a vast verdant oasis in the heart of the Moroccan desert. Here, you’ll visit the Amridil Kasbah, a historical fortess that offers a glimpse into traditional Berber architecture.

    Thereafter, we continue to Ouarzazate, a city famed for its cinematic heritage. We’ll make a brief stop at the Kasbah of Taourirt to take in this historical fortress and snap some photographs. For movie enthusiasts, you can request your guide for a visit to Atlas Studios, one of the biggest studios in the world.

    Afterwards, we’ll make it to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a backdrop for many Hollywood movies. After that, we’ll drive to Marrakech, crossing the majestic Tizi n Tichka pass 2260 meters.

    Day 7: Marrakech Airport
