The 12 day Morocco tour starts with a pick-up from the Mohamed V airport. Our driver will be there to escort you to your accommodation. Then, if time permits, we’ll explore Casablanca which is the economic capital of Morocco.
First stop will be at the Hassan II Mosque, which stands proudly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. As one of the largest mosques in Africa and the world, it’s a sight to behold! This architectural marvel is a blend of beauty, spirituality, and Moroccan craftsmanship. After lunch, we’ll stroll along Casablanca’s Corniche. Then we’ll take you back to your well-chosen accommodation.
Today, we’ll drive north to explore Rabat, the current capital and one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. We’ll explore the top attractions of the city, such as the breathtaking Hassan Tower. A massive minaret that was left unfinished. Next, we’ll visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Kasbah of the Udayas.
After savoring a mouthwatering Moroccan lunch, it’s time to head north to Chefchaouen. Prepare to be amazed by the famous blue city that’s nestled in the Rif Mountains, ready to welcome you with its blue Streets.
After breakfast, you’ll have an entire day to explore the magical blue city of Chefchaouen. Also known as the Blue Pearl, it’s located in the Rif Mountains north of Morocco. A city where the hue of azure envelops everything, from the buildings to the streets, and from the doors to the windows. Next, make sure to visit the famous attractions of this city, such as the main square. Additionally, the red-walled Kasbah dates back to the 15th century. Don’t forget to visit Ras El Ma and many other interesting places.
As you wander through the blue streets full of leather workshops, textiles, and Berber rugs. Don’t forget to have your camera ready to capture the blue scenes around every corner. In the afternoon, Take a short hike up to the Spanish Mosque. It perched on a high ground, offering a panoramic view of the entire city.
Following breakfast, we head to Fes, the oldest and cultural city of Morocco. Our first stop will be the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, dating to the 3rd century BC. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Morocco.
Next, we’ll head to Meknes, also known as the Ismaili capital. As one of the four imperial cities of Morocco, you will explore its famous landmarks. Starting with the fascinating Bab El Mansour, a huge gate built by Sultan Moulay Ismail. As well as the Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, we’ll make our way to Fes for relaxing overnight stay at a typical Riad.
Your Fes sightseeing tour starts with a local guide giving you a real taste of daily life. Wander through the vibrant streets lined with an array of handmade treasures. From textiles, ceramics, and spices to the colorful Berber rugs. Everywhere you look, there’s something to catch your eyes.
The guided tour then takes you to explore the historical and cultural sites of Fes. Starting with the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace, each is bigger than the last. You’ll also visit the Chouara Tannery, the oldest tannery in the world, dating back to the 11th century.
Moreover, the decorated Al Attarine Madrasa and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). Also, the University of Al Quaraouiyine is one of the oldest in the world, dating back to the 9th century. In the afternoon, we’ll escort you to Borj Sud to take in the stunning vistas of the whole Medina.
After breakfast, we’ll traverse the middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane. A beautiful town known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its Swiss architecture and cool climate. Especially magical when covered in snow during winter. Continuing our desert adventure, we’ll head to the Cedar Forest of Azrou. We’ll take a short break to see the Barbary macaques and take some fun photos with them while enjoying the area’s nature.
After that, we hit the road again to Midelt, where we stop for a satisfying lunch. After lunch, we’ll drive along the verdant Ziz valley, making our way to Merzouga via Erfoud. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga desert, where your camels awaits to take you on a nomadic experience. Mount your camel and ride across the golden dunes, enjoying the desert scenery. As the sun begins to set, a stop will be made to climb a high dune and witness one of magical sunset you’ll ever see.
Upon arriving at your desert camp, you’ll be greeted with a cup of tea as gesture for hospitality. Take some time to relax and get ready for dinner. The day ends with a party around the fire, listening to Berber music played by nomads, under a sky full of stars.
Start your day with a stunning sunrise at the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, it’s your choice: a cool camel ride or a thrilling 4×4 drive back to Merzouga. Today, after breakfast, continue to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. First, we’ll explore the traditional large souk, full of spices, textiles, traditional clothing, and more. Next, we’ll travel along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to Todra Gorges, where you’ll enjoy a scenic walk through Morocco’s Grand Canyons. These limestone-red cliffs stretch skyward, reaching up to 300 meters.
Take a moment to immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of this natural wonder. From there, we carry on to the Dades Valley with its stunning views of green valleys. We’ll make a short stop at the incredible rock formations of the “Monkey fingers”. Then, we continue to your hotel for a restful overnight.
After breakfast, we head towards Kalaat M’gouna where the annual Rose Festival is held every May. The locals offer a variety of rose products such as rose water, oil, soap, and perfume. Next, we’ll drive through the vast palm groves of Skoura to visit the ancient fortress of Kasbah Amridil.
From there, we’ll make our way to Ouarzazate also known as the Hollywood of Morocco! It has Atlas Studios, one of the biggest movie studios on the planet. Our journey then continues to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in cinematic history. It served as a backdrop for many blockbuster films such as Game of Thrones and The Mummy and more.
After lunch, we head to Marrakech via the Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260 m), with stops to capture the stunning vistas. Finally, we arrive in Marrakech, where an overnight stay in charming Riad awaits you.
