    Day 1: Arrival in Fes

    Your 6 days Morocco tour itinerary starts when you arrive at Fes Saïs Airport in the city. Your driver guide from My Moroccan Tours will be there waiting to greet you and take you to your accommodation.

    Day 2: Fes Guided Sightseeing Tour

    After breakfast, you’ll have the entire day to explore the imperial city of Fes. Your knowledgeable local guide will lead you through the winding alleys, where vibrant colors and an array of goods brimming in every corner.

    Your guided tour starts with a visit to the seven doors of the Royal Palace adorned with copper, marble, and mosaics. Additionally, the Chouara tannery, the oldest and largest in the world, where you can watch skilled workers using natural dyes to craft exquisite leather goods.

    Next, marvel at the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa, founded by Sultan Faris Abu Inan, and explore the Jewish quarter. Finally, visit the historic Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world, founded by the visionary Fatima Al Fihri. In the afternoon, we’ll drive to Borj Sud to enjoy some panoramic views of the entire Medina of Fes.

    Day 3: Fes» Ifrane» Azrou» Midelt» Merzouga Desert

    After breakfast, we’ll start by crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and visit the nearby town of Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco, famous for its Swiss architecture and cool climate. Next, we’ll take a stop at the national park of Azrou, you’ll get to meet up with Barbary monkeys.

    After a lunch break at Midelt or towns nearby, we’ll pass through Ziz Valley, which offers panoramic views of palm groves on our way to the Sahara. The favorite part of the entire trip for travelers is the desert experience, you’ll ride camels through the golden dunes catching the sunset atop a high dune.

    Staying in the desert camp is one of the best things that you’ll do and it’s a special experience. After dinner, gather around the fireplace to enjoy some traditional Berber music and dance under a blanket of stars.

    Day 4: Merzouga Excursion» Khamlia» Desert Mines» Visit Nomad Family

    A wake-up early is highly recommended to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, it’s time to dive into the region’s rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. We’ll start our desert adventure by visiting Khamlia village. Its inhabitants, originating from south Africa, practice the Gnawa folklore. Prepare to be amazed by the Gnawa music and traditional dances that offer a glimpse into the cultural richness of the region.

    Next, we’ll hit the road to visit Mifis mines. This place has a rich history, having been once home to miners extracting kohl, an ancient eye cosmetic that is commonly used as eyeliner. Our journey continues with a visit to a nomadic Berber family to explore their way of life. Imagine sipping tea under their handmade tent listening to stories about nomad life. You’ll feel a profound connection to this timeless land.

    For lunch, you may want to savor the flavors of Medfouna (Berber pizza) at local restaurant. After that, we return to Merzouga, where you can relax and complete the day. By the late afternoon, if you’re up for more adventure, you can opt for quad biking or buggy driving. Alternatively, if you want to keep relaxing, take a nice walk to the dunes close by. 

    Day 5: Merzouga Desert» Rissani» Erfoud» Todra Gorges» Dades Valley

    Waking up early to watch the sun rise over the dunes is something you must do. After breakfast, you will have the option to return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga. We’ll leave the Sahara Desert and head to Rissani, which was the ancient capital of Tafilalet and is still a major commercial center in the region, with a vibrant market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

    Afterward, we’ll visit Todra Gorge the views here are beautiful, and marveling at these huge canyons that seem to reach toward the sky (300m) is unreal. After enjoying a walk by the Todra river and refreshing the water, we’ll continue our journey to the Dads Valley. On the way you can observe the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations, formed by the forces of wind over time. We’ll then conclude the day with a comfortable stay at the hotel.

    Day 6:  Dades Valley» Rose Valley» Ouarzazate» Ait Ben Haddou» Marrakech

    After breakfast, we set off to explore Kalaa Mgouna. Here, thousands of blooms rise in springtime to create an array of rose products. After that, we’ll drive through the Skoura palm groves, a verdant paradise in the middle of the desert, here, we’ll explore the ancient Kasbah of Amridil that’s been there since the 17th century, reflecting the Berber heritage.

    Our next stop? It will be at Ouarzazate, or the Hollywood of Morocco, which has one of the biggest film studios in the world. Then, it’s off to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s been a backdrop for many Hollywood movies. Feel like a Hollywood star as you wander through the alleys and towering mud-brick walls.

    After lunch, we’ll traverse the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N’tichka pass. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech.
