    Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech 

    The 8 day Morocco desert tour starts with a pick up at Marrakech Menara Airport. Your driver from My Moroccan Tours will be there to pick you up you to your accomodation. Then, you will have free time to explore some of the attractions that Marrakech has to offer on your own.

    Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour

    Today, immerse yourself in the allure of Marrakech, known as one of the most enchanting destinations in the world. Your local guide will show you the historical landmarks of the city. Firstly, visit the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, then the Saadian dynasty mausoleums, and take in the magnificence of the Bahia Palace.

    Furthermore, Ben Youssef Madrasa, a 14th century Islamic college, stands as an architectural wonder decorated with carved cedar wood and zellij tilework. Imagine wandering through the souks of Marrakech, a treasure trove of handicrafts, where every turn offers a new discovery, and every handcraft has a story to tell.

    As the sun begins to set, Jemaa El Fna square comes alive with a symphony of colors and sounds. This plaza offers a panoramic view of the sunset, complemented by an enchanting array of live shows. After enjoying the shows, return to your comfortable  riad.

    Day 3: Marrakech» Atlas Mountains» Ait Ben Haddou» Ourzazate» Dades Valley

    This morning we start driving to Ait Ben Haddou, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m), with stops to take photos and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Atlas Mountains.

    After that, we then head towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a legendary village steeped in fame as the backdrop for epic cinematic movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and many others. Then we head toward Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco.

    After having lunch in Ouarzazate, we continue through Boumalne Dades along the Road of Kasbahs and the large palm groves of Skoura to your accommodation, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a nice hotel overlooking the beautiful valley.

    Day 4: Dades Valley» Todra Gorges» Rissani» Merzouga Desert

    After a delicious breakfast, we continue our 8 day Morocco tour through the Dades Valley, known for its verdant valleys and red rock formations. Along the way, we’ll stop to behold the stunning rock formations of the “Monkey fingers”. Afterwards, we’ll drive on the Road of 1000 Kasbah towards Todra Gorges. Towering limestone-red cliffs, reaching up to 300 meters high.

    After that, we hit on the road of 1000 kasbahs, passing through the palm groves and many Berber villages such as Tinejdad and Touroug. By the afternoon, we reach Merzouga Desert, and there, your camels stand ready to take on a true nomadic experience. Ride your camel and traverse the golden dunes of Merzouga. As sunset approaches, a pause will be made for you to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in your life.

    After enjoying the sunset, continue to your desert camp, relax in your tent, and prepare for a delicious evening meal. Finally, the day ends with a party night by the fire, listening to the melodies of Berber drums performed by nomads.

    Day 5: Merzouga Desert» Erfoud» Midelt» Ifrane» Fes

    This morning, we continue to Fes passing through Erfoud a desert town known for its fossils. We’ll visit a fossil manufactory to discover regional fossil finds. After that, we drive along the Ziz Valley, enjoying the beautiful palm groves, and stop for lunch in the town of Midelt. After lunch, we head towards Azrou and we’ll make a stop at the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Don’t miss the chance to take some memorable photos with these adorable creatures while enjoying the natural surrounding.

    Next, we’ll drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, known as the “ little Switzerland of Morocco.” With its charming Swiss architecture and coul climate. Finally, we arrive at Fes your driver will transfer you to your accommodation.

    Day 6: Fes Sightseeing Guided Tour

    Today is dedicated to exploring the ancient city of Fes with a local expert who knows every corner of the Medina. Wander through the lively souks brimming with unique handmade treasures and the air filled with the smells of spices, perfumes, and the fresh bread from the bakeries.

    On the guided tour, you’ll visit the cultural and historical gems the city has to offer. Firstly, the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace, which display Fez’s historical importance. Then, the tanneries, where the tanners are dyeing leather in huge vats of colors. The Jewish Quarter reflects the Jewish heritage with sites such as the Ibn Danan synagogue and the Jewish cemetery.

    Additionally, the Attarine Madrassa, which dates back to the 14th century, and the famous Al-Qarawiyyin University, considered the oldest university in the world. Later on, we’ll ascend to Borj Sud for panoramic views of the Medina of Fes.

    Day 7: Fes» Meknes» Volubilis Ruins» Chefchaouen

    Today, after breakfast we drive to Meknes also known as the capital Ismaili, one of the four Moroccan imperial cities. Here, you’ll visit Bab El Mansour gate, the Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After that, we head to Volubilis Ruins a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient marvel dates back to the 3rd century BC. Imagine walking where the Romans lived and seeing the remnants they left behind.

    Afterwards, we continue to Chefchaouen also known as ” the Blue City” a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. We’ll take you to your accomodation, then wander through the blue streets where every corner offers a photo-worthy moment. The streets filled with local shops offering textiles, ceramics and leather goods. Finally turn back to your comfortable Riad.

    Day 8:  Chefchaouen» Tangier Airport

    After breakfast, enjoy one last stroll through the captivating blue alleys of Chefchaouen. It’s the perfect opportunity to take some last photos and enjoy the charm of this blue city.
