Day 1: Arrival in Tangier» Chefchaouen

Your 5 days tour from Tangier starts with a pick-up at Ibnou Battuta airport or your accommodation in Tangier city. Your driver guide from My Moroccan Tours will be there waiting to greet you and start exploring Tangier.

The exploration includes visits to the famous landmarks, starting with the Caves of Hercules, famously resembling the shape of Africa. Following this, you’ll visit Cap Spartel, home to a lighthouse built in 1864 that offers stunning views overlooking the ocean. After that, traverse the Rif Mountains to the blue city of Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen» Volubilis Ruins» Meknes» Fes

After breakfast, enjoy one last stroll through the captivating blue alleys of Chefchaouen. It’s the perfect opportunity to take some last photos and enjoy the charm of this blue city. Afterward, we’ll drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its well-preserved structures, mosaics, and ancient pillars. Let yourself indulge in and form a picture of the lifestyle of the people living during the Roman Empire.

After exploring Volubilis, we’ll drive to the imperial city of Meknes, also known as the Ismaili capital. Our exploration of Meknes includes visits to Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the royal stable, and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After that, we’ll proceed to Fez for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3: Fes» Ifrane» Azrou» Midelt» Merzouga Desert

Start your day bright and early from Fes, as your journey encompasses some amazing stops. Our first stop will be at Ifrane. Known for its remarkable lion statue, snow, and Swiss-inspired architecture. Then, we’ll drive through the middle Atlas Mountains to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, here you can encounter some Barbary monkeys and enjoy the wild nature of the surroundings.

After that, we’ll drive to Midelt where lunch will be served. After that, we’ll keep driving through the Ziz Valley, take a sec to appreciate a panoramic view adorned with thousands of palm trees on the way to the Sahara desert. Once we reach Merzouga Desert, it’s time for a truly nomadic experience. Hop on your camelback and cross the golden dunes, catching the mesmerizing sunset vibes on a high dune.

Then, continue your camel ride to the desert camp check into your private tent and relax and get ready for a delicious dinner. The day ends with a party night, gathering by the campfire and listening to the rhythmic heartbeat of Berber drums played by the nomads. Just imagine being in the heart of the Sahara Desert under a vast sky packed with millions of stars believe me it’s incredible.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert» Rissani» Erfoud» Todra Gorges» Dades Valley

After breakfast, we’ll leave the Sahara desert and continue to Boumalne Dades. Our first stop will be at Rissani, famous for being the ancient capital of Tafilalet and its traditional market. Imagine wandering through the streets of this market, alive with the sights, sounds, and scents of local life, especially on market days: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Afterwards, we’ll drive on the road of a thousand Kasbah towards the Todra Gorges. These towering cliffs reach heights of up to 300 meters, making them a haven for climbers. The scenery is simply amazing, offering panoramic vistas that will take your breath away.

After enjoying a nice walk by the river, we continue to Dades Valley, known for its green valleys and surreal rock formations. We’ll stop to admire the “Monkey Fingers” geological structures, sculpted by the forces of the wind. Finally, continue to your accommodation, relax, and enjoy the panoramic views of the valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley» Rose Valley» Ouarzazate» Ait Ben Haddou» Marrakech

After breakfast, we head towards Kalaat M’gouna where the annual Rose Festival is held every May. The locals offer a variety of rose products such as rose water, oil, soap, and perfume. Next, we’ll drive through the vast palm groves of Skoura to visit the ancient fortress of Kasbah Amridil.

From there, we’ll make our way to Ouarzazate also known as the Hollywood of Morocco! It has Atlas Studios, one of the biggest movie studios in the world. Our journey then continues to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in cinematic history. It served as a backdrop for many blockbuster films such as Game of Thrones and The Mummy and more.

After lunch, we head to Marrakech via the Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260 m), with stops to capture the stunning vistas.
