Your 8 days Morocco itinerary begins in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. As you step off the plane, our driver will be there to greet you with a huge smile and pick you up to your accommodation.
If your flight lands early, we’ll visit some of Casablanca most iconic attractions, starting with the majestic Hassan II Mosque, known for its grandeur and stunning seaside location. After that, we’ll take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque Casablanca Corniche, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Then, we’ll take you to savor delicious seafood for lunch. Finally, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for a restful overnight.
After breakfast, we’ll leave Casablanca behind and head towards Rabat the capital. Our first stop will be the iconic Hassan Tower, a towering symbol of Rabat heritage. From there, we’ll visit the Mohamed V Mausoleum, known for its stunning architecture, which combines traditional Moroccan design with modern materials. Then, it’s off to explore the ancient Kasbah of Udayas, offering panoramic views of the Bouregreg River.
After a lunch break, we’ll drive onward to Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. A charming city where almost everything is painted in the shade of blue. Imagine wandering through the charming blue streets of Chefchaouen, where every turn reveals a new shade of blue. Don’t forget your camera, every corner offers a new opportunity to snap some stunning photographs.
This morning, after breakfast, we’ll head towards the imperial city of Meknes. Enjoy the Moroccan countryside with its natural splendor as we drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis. Take a small tour around the remnants of the ancient Roman ruins, dating back to the 3rd century BC.
Once we’re done exploring Volubilis, we’ll continue on to Meknes, also known as the Versailles of Morocco. Firstly, we’ll visit the magnificent Bab Mansour Gate, built by Moulay Ismail. Then, the grandeur of the Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the tomb of Moulay Ismail. After that, we’ll make our way to Fes, the oldest city in Morocco.
After breakfast, you’ll have the entire day to explore the imperial city of Fes. Your knowledgeable local guide will lead you through the winding alleys, where vibrant colors and an array of goods brimming in every corner.
Your guided tour starts with a visit to the seven doors of the Royal Palace adorned with copper, marble, and mosaics. Additionally, the Chouara tannery, the oldest and largest in the world, where you can watch skilled workers using natural dyes to craft exquisite leather goods.
Next, marvel at the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa, founded by Sultan Faris Abu Inan, and explore the Jewish quarter. Finally, visit the historic Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest university in the world, founded by the visionary Fatima Al Fihri. In the afternoon, we’ll drive to Borj Sud to enjoy some panoramic views of the entire Medina of Fes.
After breakfast, today’s adventure brims with amazing sights. We’ll start by crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and visiting the nearby town of Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, famous for its Swiss architecture and cool climate. Next, we’ll head toward Azrou, where you’ll encounter with the Barbary Macaque monkeys in the cedar forest. It’s a fun chance to snap some photographs and enjoy the wild nature.
As we continue toward the Sahara, prepare for some breathtaking sceneries. We’ll pass through the Ziz Valley, offering panoramic vistas of the palm groves. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga Desert, get ready for a truly nomadic experience riding your camel through the Erg Chebbi dunes, making your way to the desert camp. There will be a stopover to climb a high dune and witness the stunning sunset.
Afterward, continue to your desert, check into your private tent and relax. After dinner, you’ll be entertained with some traditional Berber drums played by local nomads, gaze up at the vast desert sky, and keep your eyes open for shooting stars.
Wake up early is a must to catch the sun rising over the dunes. After breakfast, you’ll have the choice to ride back on a camel or take a 4×4 back to Merzouga. Then, our next destination will be Rissani, which was the ancient capital of the Tafilalet and remains a major commercial center of the region, with a lively souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Thereafter, we’ll set off for Todra Gorges on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Once there, you can stroll beneath towering 300-meter-high rocks and perhaps even catch sight of climbers tackling the cliffs. Afterward, take some time to unwind by the refreshing waters of the Todra River.
Continuing on, we’ll journey through the Dades Valley, making our way through Boumalne Dades. Keep an eye out for the iconic monkey fingers rock formations, shaped by the forces of wind over time. We’ll conclude the day with a delicious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel.
Today’s voyage is packed with history and adventure. After breakfast we’ll drive to Kalaat M’gouna (Valley of Roses). This charming city is known for its fragrant Rose Valley and the Rose Festival that held every May. We might have the opportunity to stop at a local cooperative to discover rose-infused products. From there, we’ll head to the Skoura, a vast verdant oasis in the heart of the Moroccan desert. Here, you’ll visit the Amridil Kasbah, a historical fortess that offers a glimpse into traditional Berber architecture.
Thereafter, we continue to Ouarzazate, a city famed for its cinematic heritage. We’ll make a brief stop at the Kasbah of Taourirt to take in this historical fortress and snap some photographs. For movie enthusiasts, you can request your guide for a visit to Atlas Studios, one of the biggest studios in the world.
Afterwards, we’ll make it to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a backdrop for many Hollywood movies. After that, we’ll drive to Marrakech, crossing the majestic Tizi n Tichka pass 2260 meters.
On the final day of your 8 day Morocco tour, enjoy a final breakfast. Then our driver will accompany you to Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca.
