The 6 day Morocco desert tour starts with a pick up at Marrakech Menara Airport or your accommodation. After that, we start driving to Ait Ben Haddou, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m), with stops to take photos and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Atlas Mountains.
After that, we then head towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a legendary village steeped in fame as the backdrop for epic cinematic movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and many others. Then we head toward Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco.
After having lunch in Ouarzazate, we continue through Boumalne Dades along the Road of Kasbahs and the large palm groves of Skoura to your accommodation, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a nice hotel overlooking the beautiful valley.
After a delicious breakfast, we continue through the Dades Valley, known for its verdant valleys and red rock formations. Along the way, we’ll stop to behold the stunning rock formations of the “Monkey fingers”. Afterwards, we’ll drive on the Road of 1000 Kasbah towards Todra Gorges. Towering limestone-red cliffs, reaching up to 300 meters high.
After that, we hit on the road of 1000 kasbahs, passing through the palm groves and many Berber villages such as Tinejdad and Touroug. By the afternoon, we reach Merzouga Desert, and there, your camels stand ready to take on a true nomadic experience. Ride your camel and traverse the golden dunes of Merzouga. This morning, we continue to Fes passing through Erfoud a desert town known for its fossils. We’ll visit a fossil manufactory to discover regional fossil finds. After that, we drive along the Ziz Valley, enjoying the beautiful palm groves, and stop for lunch in the town of Midelt. After lunch, we head towards Azrou and we’ll make a stop at the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Don’t miss the chance to take some memorable photos with these adorable creatures while enjoying the natural surrounding.
Next, we’ll drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, known as the “ little Switzerland of Morocco.” With its charming Swiss architecture and coul climate. Finally, we arrive at Fes your driver will transfer you to your accommodation.
