Today, we’ll be exploring Tangier, often referred to as the “Bride of the North,” where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. After being ruled by different empires over the years, the city has a rich historical background. Consequently, it has a mix of cultures, traditions, and architectural styles.
Our exploration includes visits to the famous landmarks, starting with the legendary Caves of Hercules, famously resembling the shape of Africa. A natural and historical wonder with two openings, one facing the land and the other facing the sea. Following this, we’ll make our way to Cap Spartel, home to a lighthouse built in 1864 that offers stunning views overlooking the ocean. After that, we’ll traverse the Rif Mountains to the blue city of Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, you’ll have an entire day to explore the magical blue city of Chefchaouen. Also known as the Blue Pearl, it’s located in the Rif Mountains north of Morocco. A city where the hue of azure envelops everything, from the buildings to the streets, and from the doors to the windows.
Next, make sure to visit the famous attractions of this city, such as the main square. Additionally, the red-walled Kasbah dates back to the 15th century. Don’t forget to visit Ras El Ma and many other interesting places.
As you wander through the blue streets full of leather workshops, textiles, and Berber rugs. Don’t forget to have your camera ready to capture the blue scenes around every corner. In the afternoon, Take a short hike up to the Spanish Mosque. It perched on a high ground, offering a panoramic view of the entire city.
Following breakfast, we’ll drive toward Fes, the oldest city in Morocco. Once we get to Meknes, we’ll be exploring its prominent landmarks. Firstly, the impressive Bab Mansour Gate, built by Moulay Ismail. We’ll also pay a visit to the majestic Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani basin, and the magnificent Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We’ll then continue toward Fes for a relaxing overnight stay.

In the 6th day of your 12 days in Morocco, we’ll set off towards the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, a city known as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ for its architecture and cool climate. Subsequently, we continue to the cedar forest of Azrou, home to the Barbary macaques. Here, we’ll make a short stop to capture some fun photos with these friendly creatures.
After enjoying free time for lunch in Midelt, we’ll then drive along the Ziz valley, enjoying stunning panoramic views of the palm trees. From there, we pass through the fossil-rich town of Erfoud to the Sahara Desert. As soon as we arrive at Merzouga, a sea of sand dunes stretches as far as the eye can see. You’ll switch to camels and embark on a nomadic experience you’ll never forget. Along the way, a break is planned to climb a high dune and witness the magical sunset.
As you reach your desert camp, you’ll be welcomed by a cup of mint tea for hospitality, then relax in your tent. After a delicious dinner, the desert comes alive with the heartbeat rhythms of Berber drums and dancing around the campfire, all under the broad canvas of the starry desert sky.
Next, we’ll journey onward to Mifis Mines. This place has historical significance, previously serving as a site for kohl mining , a traditional cosmetic used for eye lining.Our desert tour extends to a visit with a nomadic Berber family, gaining a deep understanding of their way of life. Rise early to admire the breathtaking sunrise over the spectacular golden dunes and enjoy a delicious breakfast. You’ll have the choice to either ride a camel or a 4×4 vehicle back to Merzouga. Our next destination is the historic town of Rissani, once the capital of Tafilalet, which hosts a vibrant souk three days a week.
Afterward, we’ll drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad on the way to the Todra Gorges, carved by the winding Todra River. Take a moment to explore these majestic towering red cliff formations, offering an ideal landscape for rock climbers.
After that, we’ll continue to Dades Valley, renowned for its stunning green valleys and uniquely shaped rock formations. We’ll make a quick stop at the “Monkey Fingers” at Tamelalt before heading to your accommodation for the night.
Today’s voyage is packed with history and adventure. After breakfast we’ll drive to Kalaat M’gouna (Valley of Roses). This charming city is known for its fragrant Rose Valley and the Rose Festival that held every May. We might have the opportunity to stop at a local cooperative to discover rose-infused products. From there, we’ll head to the Skoura, a vast verdant oasis in the heart of the Moroccan desert. Here, you’ll visit the Amridil Kasbah, a historical fortess that offers a glimpse into traditional Berber architecture.
Thereafter, we continue to Ouarzazate, a city famed for its cinematic heritage. We’ll make a brief stop at the Kasbah of Taourirt to take in this historical fortress and snap some photographs.
